It's Official, Zoot Velasco is the Interim Director of the Gianneschi Center for Nonprofits
Zoot Velasco has been selected as the Interim Director for the Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Research at California State University Fullerton Mihaylo School of Business and Economics replacing Dr. Susan Cadwallader who is remaining at the college but wants to focus on her research project. Dr. Cadwallader held the position for 5 years and encouraged Zoot to apply for the position.
The Gianneschi Center is one of 14 centers and institutes that Mihaylo College hosts. It is named after Dr. Harry R. Gianneschi who served as Vice President of Advancement at Cal State Fullerton and founded the center. Its purpose is to “use the power and resources of California State University, Fullerton and the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics to create a stronger community by strengthening our community benefit organizations.”
Part of Zoot’s new role is to produce the Gianneschi summer training conference held August 13-17. "The Summer School for Nonprofits" has a new name this year and a new focus under Zoot.
